I was excited about living here as the apartments themselves are nice, but it is not an enjoyable community to live in. If you have lost your ability to smell, it may deserve a 3-star rating. The halls smell like marijuana and trash most hours of the day. Fortunately, my next-door neighbors don't smoke inside, but my above neighbors make up for it as my entire living room smells when they smoke out on their balcony. The stairwells don't smell like smoke too often which is nice to get a break from, but you get that scent replaced with the smell of dog pee there. Maintenance is great for apartment issues which is nice, but problems with the building is another thing. The sole interior elevator was just out of order for an entire month and 3 days. There was a large period where the freight elevator was out too, leaving none operable. The apartments are nice enough but for comparable prices I would opt for one of the newer, better managed communities in the area.

I just moved here this month, and so far everything has been really good I love my apartment, the hallway on the 3rd floor are clean, my apartment was clean, seeing the apartment in person and how amazing it looks makes my heart happy, staff has been very supportive and answered my questions, my car did get towed on the first day of moving there and had to pay $270 for that.

My wife and I absolutely love the staff. They are all so professional yet personable. The amenities are great and my wife takes advantage of the coffee bar daily. Horrible, for the price our rent is we should be ensured secure parking and safety code adherence. Exterior doors have been broken for four months l, allowing anyone familiar with the building free rein.

Maintenance team is great; other aspects are subpar. Resident gate for parking is always broken, there’s no guarantee you’ll find a spot at your own apartment complex; after a year of living here, the rental payment no longer accepts my bank, so I’m forced to pay with card which has fees or go to the bank monthly and get a money order (this also caused a debacle with late fees and ISF because the complex payment portal was faulty (I had sufficient funds and paid on the first as I did every month living there); apartment only has 1 interior elevator for the whole building (it breaks frequently, along with the exterior freight elevator, also breaking frequently); dog run is quite unsanitary and not well lit; the list could go on. I have considered breaking my lease and doing the buy out, but it would cost around 6 grand. Absolutely egregious for a rental unit that is 800 SF. Will not be resigning my lease.

This is a great place to live! It is right off Glenwood but it’s not too loud (and my apartment faces the street!), it’s walking distance to great places downtown. I feel pretty safe here. The maintenance team is awesome and fix problems very timely and always do it the right way the first time! They are so reliable!

Just moved into Devon Apartments. The move-in process went smoothly, and the staff were helpful and responsive. The unit is generally nice, though there are a few maintenance issues such as doors not closing properly and some broken drawer sliders that need attention. Hoping these get resolved soon so the space can feel fully settled in.

The members of our building community are generally warm, respectful, and supportive. Neighbors are considerate about shared spaces, often greeting one another and maintaining a friendly atmosphere. Beautiful view, beautiful room. Very nice staff, areas are always clean. Security is taken seriously. I liked all staff members they were very nice when trying to sign the lease. The pool is always active and the gym is always clean. The place is close to the Clubs which is amazing already.

The apartment itself is amazing! Great layout, lots of space, the balcony is big and the location is great if you are wanting to be in the Glenwood south area. The actual building itself… that’s a different story. The stairwell smell like urine, the hallways are hit or miss…. Some days the smell is ok, some days it smells like moldy food. If they could get the smell of the leasing office to the halls, that would be amazing. We have had 0 communication from the property manager, which is odd to me. Typically when we have moved into apartments in the past the manager always introduces themselves and welcome us the property. Maybe they just don’t do that here. Our interactions with the Assistant Manager and our leasing agent has been good. Solid 2 stars overall. The apartment itself 5 stars!

Overall great space. I feel it’s a bit overpriced, but what complex isn’t these days. Maintenance is great. They just changed parking rules and permitting and it’s become a real nuisance.

Living and amenities are great. Front desk people are really nice. Can get loud but i guess that's to be expected with the location. Only thing I wish was better would be packages. Drivers constantly go on Boylan avenue and get lost. And I've lost 2 packages so far to drivers just leaving them by lockers instead of bringing them in.

Overall we love living here! Noise is very rarely an issue and the neighborhood is great. I will say there is issues with people letting their pets pee on the carpeting in the hallway, in the elevator, and in the stairwell. Parking is free as a resident in the deck which is really nice.

I just recently moved in and have been loving my apartment. There is very little noise and I get a lot of light through my windows. The city lights are beautiful at night and I can’t wait to see what downtown has to offer.

Amazing location, consistently still having issues with security in the garages and dog urine odor in the hallways. Please invest in a proper gate for the parking deck like other local buildings have, and please deep clean the carpets regularly and put up reminders in the hallways to not let pets urinate in the hallways.

Overall i’ve really enjoyed my time at The Devon. I wish the residents were a little more engaging but not an issue. My apartment itself has beautiful finishes and doesn’t require much decorating effort to impress guests. You can’t beat the location which is definitely the best part about living here.

My apartment is so beautiful and feels incredibly clean and well-kept! I love the architectural details such as the exposed concrete walls and sleek kitchen details. My apartment is a corner unit and courtyard-facing, so I get a wonderfully large balcony. One of my only minor complaints is that the amount of direct sunlight that I get is fairly low throughout the fall-winter. This could lead to the apartment feeling too dark and industrial, but with the right interior decor and lamps it feels very cozy! I have never seen a single pest living here, which I love. The appliances work really well, and the amenities like the pool and gym are wonderful. There can be lively parties on the weekends, so I wouldn't recommend living on the courtyard side to somebody who wants absolute peace and quiet. However, it's never anything too obnoxious! I never hear road noise or Glenwood commotion, either.

Location of the Devon 425 is perfect for wanting to live downtown Raleigh but not on the main street. Traffic is never an issue getting home as there are many ways to get in and out of the area. The community is safe, clean, and modern. Pricing is very reasonable considering how solid the apartments are. I have never heard our neighbor once and like it that way :) With exposed concrete walls and dark wood cabinets it is really worth every penny.

Overall enjoyed my time staying at the Devon. Security was an issue and parking if they figure that out it would be a 10/10. Cars were broken into and accidents happened in the parking garage so if they invested in cameras the building would be more safe.

Only complaints are slightly small bedrooms, need more security in the parking deck from thefts, and the front desk needs several calls for a call to be picked up normally.

I’ve lived here for nearly 2 and a half years and overall I had a great experience. I definitely took advantage of the gym and free coffee in the rec room. For the price, I thought the combination of the amenities with the spacious and quiet apartments makes for a great place to live in Glenwood South and is comparable to surrounding residences. The only issue I’ve had is the unsecured parking garage. However, staff has made efforts to improve that issue.

Been here only 1 day. Roniqua has been amazing and people seem nice. Regarding the building. Not happy with the quality of the apartment upon move in. The walls in the hallway of my floor are very scuffed and need paint/cleaning. The SENT used to COVER odor by the cleaning people in the hallway is too strong. Please use more neutral and fresh scents. The unit I’m in has 2 fans with burnt out motors so are incredibly loud and need replaced. The second I walked into the unit I could tell a person had been living with a cat or cats. The odor of amonia from urin was and is sooooo strong. I already had a moving truck out front so I had no other option but to move in. But shocked this wasn’t addressed prior to my move in. I hope that person lost their deposit.

The apartments at the Devon have great layouts and designs. The concrete walls not only look great but provide awesome sound insulation. The gym has everything you would need for a great workout. Free coffee in the lounge is a huge plus. Cleaning and maintenance team is great and is always on top of things. The only issue I have is with the parking garage. The Devon is the only apartment building downtown without a fenced gate and this allows nonresidents to take advantage. When the gate is intentionally broken every weekend, its allows dozens of other nonresidents to park in the garage, taking spots away from the residents who pay for that privilege. It also allows nonresidents access to residents cars which could then be tampered with or broken into. This is a huge security liability and I suggest upgrading the gate if the devon wants to compete with the surrounding apartment complexes.

For the most part I love the Devon. The uptick I’m trash left around the building is frustrating as well as the noise in the halls at night. Parking has become somewhat of an issue with the gate constantly broken. I feel as if I have to ensure my car is in the deck no later than 7pm to ensure I can park on my level.

I absolutely love my apartment and the entire Devon Community. The building is in a great location if you want the city life without being directly in the city. I am a very active person and there is always so much to do around here, including a lot of amazing resident events. Highly recommend especially if you are new to the area! I have made some great friends in this building. Along with how adorable the apartments are 😍

New to the area, and really would like to meet my neighbors / tenants. As cooler weather arrives, there should be a tenant street party, w food truck vendors, and maybe a live jazz night, or an invitation to the local music / theatre to put on a live venue, or invite local restaurants / wine night for residents pool / patio side to meet one another... take a raffle for $5 tickets to win something at one of these nights... Just a couple of ideas...

Great place to live and great location. Staff is awesome and super helpful too. Amenities are great and for the price it is definitely worth it.

The Devon is a huge upgrade to most of the similar priced apartments in this area. It’s bedrooms are much more private and it’s modern look isn’t just for looking good but for improved function of the air conditioning. The process of moving here was easy and went very smooth. Would 10/10 recommend it. The only thing that didn’t meet my expectations was the attitude I received from one of the female office employees.

The noise every weekend here is a huge con. We feel like we can't even be in our apartment on the weekend. Partiers have been asked multiple times to turn their music down and they do not. Management continues to fail to see how bothersome it is to live in an environment like this .

I love living here. The amenities are great! I love when we have lunch or dinner food trucks during the week. The staff is always so helpful and nice. I love that I never hear my neighbors because did the concrete. Such a selling point for me. The neighborhood is great - amazing location!

Excellent experience all around while moving in. Everyone has been super helpful since the very beginning. We've had a ton of questions, everyone has been able to answer quickly. Apartment looked great at move in. So far, all the neighbors seem friendly as well! Free coffee is also a big plus

The Devon is located in a great area. Lots of good restaurants, bars and things to do on glenwood. Highly recommend if you are looking to make a move.
